headed back up to mammoth after that last storm for a little redemption. rolled up with kling dog after work on thursday to meet up with habe, brad, connellin, and cary for some shreddin. the snow was good, the whole mountain was open which was great. another 4 feet and mammoth will be set. friday was great, got on the mountain early and it was fairly empty. by sat the holiday crowd was starting to show up. how can you tell? well, when everywhere you go to get dinner has an hour to an hour 15 wait. thats a good indication. didnt matter though mammoth was pumping and was a great time. trying to get some vid together but while i am editing peep a few photos.

so finally got some photos uploaded and have time to throw up another post. hit up the 686 holiday party the other week. super good time. started with some dinner at primitivo with will, damon, stouffer, blau, stace, jenks, klinger, kim, jen, and my sis. i think that is everyone. had some great tapas then headed up the street to the party. really cool joint on abbot kinney called the stronghold. had a huge backyard covered with a tent and then an upstairs with a DJ and most important an open bar…

On Thursday, December 3, DC Shoes employees were notified that the company would be closing its offices in Vista, California and relocating approximately 60 miles north to parent company Quiksilver’s global headquarters in Huntington Beach. The move will reportedly be made within six months. A spokesperson from Quiksilver declined to comment, saying that the company was not planning to issue a news release.

DC Shoes employees currently living in San Diego County will be facing a commute of over an hour through traffic-laden Orange County. Quiksilver acquired DC in 2004 for $56 million in cash, 1.6 million restricted shares of Quiksilver common stock and the assumption of approximately $10 million in funded indebtedness. The sellers also recieved a potential four-year earn out of $57 million.
