i had a wedding this past weekend in sd. so on the way down friday i swung by a little happy hour globe and seth threw for the hurley pro at trestles. didnt get out of work til late, catalog season and what not. so got down to san clemente right around dusk. gw rolled too because after all he lives in oside and well duh… so 25 cent pints, cant beat that with a bat. yum. turns out nick row rolled up with timmy, trevor and alex. great crew to throw a couple back with. turns out there were some really really wasted girls there… hmmm… well… if you know the technical name of the kind of car i used to drive, make and model yr. (2001) then type in this (and fill in the blanks with the technical name lower case “e” BTW) http://www.frnsc.com/***  i just cant throw it up, this way at least there is some discretion. so after happy hour which believe it or not i was outta there by like 8, (you wouldnt know it from the pics) headed out with z and b-rad to rip it up in encinitas. peep it.

When your every day existence revolves around cold calling, getting cursed at, hung up on and berated on the phone sandwiched between me cursing out some Bank of America employee for charging me $35 cause I’m $0.15 overdrawn (this conversation just took place today) you look for any sort of relief to help put a smile on your face and bring a little sunshine into my office with no windows.  My ray of light just happens to be ****’s Party Blog.  He refuses to call it this, but anyone who follows the D’s blog as much as I do ( every day seven times a day) you understand what it really is.  I used to think my life was radical but it pales in comparison to the red carpet, industry insider, VIP parties D-Fresh gets to attend.  I used to think drinking $2 beers at the Leucadian Bar from 6-8 while jamming out at the shuffle board and billiards table was living it up.  I realized how naïve I was once I started following the exploits of one **** ******.

So the last few days have been exceptionally slow and excruciating at work and the action on ****’s Party Blog has seen about as much movement as my sales numbers.  Through constant pestering IM sessions yesterday I begged Kenny Bloggins to update it but he was too damn busy at work.  He then came up with a genius idea….I guest blog!!  To me this honor is no different than having the Dodgers ask me to pinch hit in the bottom of the ninth of game 7 in the World Series.  The timing couldn’t be more perfect because last night I was going to see Mason Jennings live at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach.  I had to make **** proud and attend the show the only way **** would have…f’ing wasted.

So here is what happened last night before during and after the Mason Jennings concert:

Started the night at meeting the brothers Connell at the Leu.  Go where you know.  Whiskey shots were flying because it also marked the last Wednesday of PJ’s single life.  It was a great couple hours and I realized how drunk I was when I got home and broke 1 bottle of Amstel trying to open it and spilled the second when I knocked it off the table.  YES!  Good start.  This is definitely how **** would roll.

The second act of the night started when I got a lift to Pizza Port and met some people for pizza and beer.  Out of fear of sobering up (very un **** like) I passed on the pizza and took a pitcher to the head.  I swear their beers have more alcohol content then some Whiskeys.  Once we left Pizza Port I was in full **** mode and ready to rock out to the cool jams of one Mason Jennings.  Best part about that walk was my inability to walk a straight line.  I was definitely channeling **** at this point.  Blind drunk…check.  Slurred speech…check.   New born Bambi like steps tripping over myself…check.

The final act.  Belly Up.  Went straight to the bar, as only **** would do, and ordered a shot of Tequilla and tall boy of Pabst Blue Ribbon cause I’m classy like that.  That’s where things got fuzzy.  Not really sure what happened after that but my girlfriend told me we left the show after the fourth song and I passed out on the floor with all my clothes on (apparently I bought a shirt at the show cause I was wearing it this morning).  I woke up with a ranging hanging over and now I’m sitting at my desk doing everything I can to avoid picking up the phone to my right and calling someone who doesn’t want to talk to me.  While I’m thankful for the opportunity to guest Blog I will never EVER try to live the life of **** “Party Blog” ****** ever again.  I’ll keep the good times and leave the really good times to him.

headed out to eagle rock last night with the neighbors to check out a friends band at this pretty sick little joint call the york. the place reminded me of the other room in venice. really cool vibe and layout. wasnt too packed up which was nice but did see one of the actors on parks and rec and sat next to ned colleti. i am hoping there will be some dodgers tix in the near future…

totally been lagging on getting posts up. been flying pretty low under the radar lately, just a lot of shit going on, anxiety, and over all laziness. so there really hasnt been much to post. but last week i was in sd for asr and the new transworld snowboarding movie premiere featuring one of our team riders, patrick mccarthy. got down tuesday night and kicked it at brads pad. wed. got up headed downtown to set up the 686 installation at asr. ran into some heads that i havent seen in awhile which was cool. got the installation set and headed back up to north county to grab dinner with the 686 crew, patrick mccarthy, his girl, and folks. hit las olas then jammed over to the new transworld offices for the movie premiere. the new offices are pretty dope. a lot different from the oside set up. but there were little things here and there that reminded me of my old stomping grounds. also got to see a bunch of peeps i hadnt gotten to see in a long time. the movie was dope and pat’s part was sick. ended the night at the saloon, love the saloon. thursday hit the show and after met up with katie and taryn for some drinks back in north county. had to be back at the office on friday to shoot some product, was gonna go back down to sd that afternoon but was over it. hahaha. that and the fact that i have to be down there next weekend for peej’s wedding. which should be a blast! anywho peep some photos

as usual been a little behind on the posts, so just now getting to laura lynn’s bday bash! her bday party was saturday night at the memphis lounge in costa mesa. kind got of a late start on the evening, was planning on heading down around 7ish to meet up with gary and nick then head over to memphis around 10. however when i called gary at 6 to confirm what time to meet up there was no answer. aight, kicked back for awhile. so around 8 still no response. hmmm… okay texted that mo fo. nothing. around 815 or so jackie calls. she had already been down with laura in costa mesa and wondering what my deal was. i replied i was supposed to meet up with gary and nick but hadnt heard so i was still in la. she then informed me that she had just talked to nick and that they had been out cold for hours. which is a whole other story which you will have to ask them. its really funny. but you gotta ask them. so i hung up the phone and called gary, sure enough, just waking up. he said he was leaving asap to meet up at 10 just off the 55. got down there, hopped a cab over to memphis and the madness ensued from there. i think it took about 5 mins for nick to take his shirt off. weird. super fun time. probably too good of time. the end of the night gets hazy and details are sketchy at best.
